Was driving through the Wheaton University campus this evening, and was dismayed (perhaps incensed is a better word) to find out this bastion of evangelicalism--the alma mater of none other than Billy Graham--was hosting the Chicagoland SDA camp meeting. You can see this on the NAD website: http://www.nadadventist.org/article/583/calendar/camp-meeting-schedule The university president will be getting a letter from me, along with a complementary copy of Dale's Cultic Doctrine book. I am wondering if it might be possible to get them some kind of materials or something from Paul Carden as well. Very angry about this. |

You've got to be kidding!!!! I can't believe it! Wheaton needs to get lots of calls and letters. I'll certainly do my part! I wonder if anyone has recordings of prophecy seminar lectures or sermons that we could send them - especially about who Babylon and the remnant are. I'm guessing they see most of the issues as non salvific. Keeping the Sabbath holy is OK - SDA teaches it's way more important than that, but they're not seeing that part. Eating healthfully is good - but they make it way more than that. State of the dead? - There are many views and it's not salvific so why condemn a group beacuse of that? Ellen White - well she wrote Steps to Christ so she must be OK even if she wrote some questionable other stuff. I think the letters need to focus on the Clear Word, Investigative Judgment, end time stuff like Sabbath keepers will be hunted down by evangelicals for keeping the sabbath and the way that the gospel must by necessity be changed because of the state of the dead and IJ doctrines. They need to know how the gospel is being perverted by these doctrines. It might help for them to read some testimonies from formers. |

You are Kidding!!! They definitely need the Rose Publishing 10 Questions and Answers on Seventh-day Adventism. It's written for the evangelical and camps on the heresies of the nature of man, of Jesus, of the IJ, etc. You can order it online for $3.99; if you order 10 or more, you get a price break. You can order here: http://www.rose-publishing.com/Search.aspx?k=Seventh-day%20Adventism I'm so glad you saw this. I'm letting Paul Carden know as well. Colleen |

I have been thinking of going to Wheaton. It looks like such a great place. The only thing is that it's expensive. $$$$$$$ Darn, the SDAs must be jumping for joy, hoping they'll convert lots of evangelicals to Adventism. |

Now why would the remnant want to worship on the grounds of Babylon?! |

I do not think this is new. I used to receive the Lake Union Herald and I think they have had camp meeting there the last couple years. |

I live in western NC. The World HQ of the Methodist church is in Lake Junaluska near me & the SDA Campmeeting is held there every year. This has been going on for all the 34 years we have lived here. |

!!! I have/had been going to the campmeetings in Massachusetts and Maine for ages. I used to be disgsted that they are no longer evangelism methods. They are just there for SDAs. Well it looks like they are using them again as recruiting tools. |

Thanks everyone. I have ordered another copy of Cultic Doctrine and the Rose Publishing pamphlet. I plan to write the letter maybe this weekend, and I may post it in the Members section for review. |
