A couple of weeks ago I was asked to speak for the general teaching session for our Monday evening women's Bible study at Trinity Church. Elizabeth Inrig asked me to tell my story as an illustration of the role and reliability of Scripture in our lives. (We have been studying 2 Timothy.) This evening Richard posted the audio recording of my talk here: http://www.lifeassuranceministries.org/devotionals/index.html Click on the box entitled "When Jesus says 'Walk'". The audio guy didn't get the very beginning or the last sentence of the ending, but the bulk of the talk is there. Colleen |

Thanks for posting this Colleen, It is really inspiring, and challenging as well. I have to think through the situation I am in at the moment. At least, I am off to Germany for a holiday soon, so I will be out of the situation. Thanks again for all your help, you cannot imagine what a support this site has been for me! Adrian |

Just listened to the talk. Excellent, Colleen. I was moved as you talked about losing all, but gaining more. That when we submit, open our clutched hands ... Jesus give us Himself - which is more than we have ever had. I know I'm paraphrasing ... but your explanation and your testimony was powerful - because it is a testimony of Christ and His transformation and call in your life. Blessings friend, Keri |

Colleen, You gave an excellent testimony. It is my prayer that those who listen to the audio of your presentation will be richly blest. I never cease to be amazed at God's sovereign plan for our lives. Yes, many of us were "more Adventist than American," but God never goes on a rescue mission that fails. To God alone belongs all the glory! Dennis Fischer "The faith that fizzles before the finish was faulty from the start." --A selected "Adrianism" by the late Adrian Rogers |

Thanks Colleen for this talk. When I left adventism, I was not looking to leave it or even thinking of leaving it. I just wanted to belong and I thought it was at the sda church as that was what I had learned as a child. God had other ideas for me. I now belong, not to a church but to Jesus Christ. That to me means I have brothers and sisters where ever I go. Diana L |
