Hi All,

I've tweaked the quiz and put it online. Thanks for your input (in the member section).
http://www.quibblo.com/quiz/c03AIzI/What-does-the-Bible-say

It will soon appear on a couple of blogs. Feel free to post it wherever you want (blogs, facebook, email the link, etc.) I hope it will be used to illustrate how, if you grew up SDA, the line between what is in the Bible and what is EGW is blurred.

So, go ahead, take the quiz...I want to see how you do.

After you take the quiz, if you need more info on the answers, here are the references.

1. See Genesis 3.
2. See Daniel 1.
3. See Genesis 3.
4. See 1 Peter 1:20
5. See John 2:1-12
6. See Genesis 1-3
7. There is no mention of this in the Bible.
8. There is no mention of this in the Bible. See Revelation 2:17 for something similar.
9. There is no mention of this in the Bible. See Hebrews 1:14 to begin studying about angels.
10. See Matthew 2
11. There is no mention of this in the Bible. Furthermore, Jesus has never not been God.
12. Genesis 6
13. Matthew 27
14. Begin reading about the second coming in Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 17, and follow the cross references.
15. See 1 Kings 17

Note: All incorrect answers and "Not in the Bible" statements were found in Ellen G. White's writings and other Adventist literature.

Alright, somebody has to go first. I missed one question for a score of 93%. What's worse, I don't know for sure which one. Maybe question 12 about Noah being rewarded. Does this mean I am still 7% Adventist? Actually, I could accept that as true, given how slow the process is. Used to be, I was trying to remain among the Adventist remnant. Now, I'm trying to shed the last remnants of Adventism. Some of the residue just hangs around somewhere in there. I wonder, what are the Adventist ideas and attitudes that are the last to leave us formers?

This I do know, those he justified he also glorified.

100%-but then, I was not born a Sadventist.

I can only imagine, through those who post here, the devastating effect on the impressionable minds of those trusting children who have been force-fed the lies of the 'True Church'.

Diana- the problem with free stuff online is that it's often swimming in ads. The very last question was generated by the website... I think if you clicked yes, it took you to something related to Justin Beiber...

The first time I took this test, I got a 87%. I was totally bummed about my score!! So I went through and read the references Cloudwatcher posted. The second time, I got a 100%--

I feel much better now :-). HA! I was determined to be set straight!!!

I missed the one about Elijah, and the one about the people who were resurrected at Jesus' crucifixion.

I have a question about the timing of the people who were resurrected at the crucifixion. It said the tombs were open when Jesus died, but they left the cemetery when Jesus was resurrected. Does that mean they went to Heaven during those 3 days?

Hi Grace,
As far as I can see the Bible doesn't say they went to heaven, it just says they were raised and people saw them. All else is speculation.

Grace,
We studied this in BSF during our study on the gospel of John.

As I understood it ... this verse which is inserted at Jesus' death, actually seems to indicate that the people were resurrected when Christ was - later, on Sunday ...

Sorry, I'm probably not being very clear ... but what I remember is the "timing" and how the verses are worded. Meaning ... it seems to indicate that those that are resurrected are resurrected the day Jesus' was "Sunday", not at the crucifixion "Friday" ... And the verse is "inserted" there, but indicates later ...

Hi Stevew! I missed welcoming you to the forum I guess. "Hooley Dooley" made me laugh out loud--never heard that expression before! Hooley Dooley to you, too!
