I have been praying for everyone on this Forum and I truly appreciate your prayers as well. Toria, you are going through such a hard time yourself right now that you taking the time to pray for those of us whose problems seem so small compared to yours.. Francie, Your mom sounds like she is in the same state as my grandmother whom I just spent a week with in Oregon. Sounds so much alike, and same age. My grandmother will be 97 in Sept. She also wants it to be over.. BUT I watched her break down into tears... basically afraid she isn't going to make the final cut after 80 years of service to God. I will post more later on the Discussion side.. because the whole world needs to know - the fruit of Adventism. Just asking for prayers. I know the real Jesus can reveal Himself to her, even in her last few days. I am so sad to see her in this spiritual state. The physical part is hard enough. Francie is your mom sda? Sondra, Thank you for your prayers, and I will pray for your Grandmother also. No, My Mom is not SDA. She does not belong to any Denomination or church. All the time growing up I dont remember her or Dad going to church except for weddings and funerals and when my hubby and I were Baptized. Her Mom and Dad immigrated here in the 1800's from Germany and they homesteaded in Montana. My Grandfather farmed their land and also worked in both coal and gold mines for a while I know one was in Deadwood SD but cant remember if it was gold or coal.. doesnt matter. Anyway my Grandmother was raised Catholic but I dont know if she ever got to attend church after moving to America as they lived out in the middle of nowhere. I asked my Mom not long ago "Mom, you DO believe in God, right ?" and she affirmed that she does. I know she does as she wouldn't talk to him if she did not believe he existed...but it makes me sad to hear her say things like she just doesnt understand why God does not just take her and end the pain she is in. I tell her God will take her when it is time, but she is here for a reason, we may not know what that reason is, but God does. It seems like she has been more at peace this time over here (she is here 4 weeeks and my sisters 4 weeks at a time)and I have NO doubt that it is due in LARGE part to the prayers of those here on this forum. This morning I had helped her take a shower and was curling her hair for her and she just shook her head and said "I don't know why I'm still here.. I guess I must be a tough old bird." LOL | ||

For Lynette who has been lifted up in prayer Peggy, Berit, Francie, I am agreeing with you in prayer. I am asking for you to lift John in prayer. I met him at the Michigan stop of the Tour of Encouragement. He is a former and I have invited him onto the forum. He is struggling and I believe he has not found a church home and he is right there in SDA country. I could only get part of his story but there is definetly a struggle there that he needs praying through Enoch | ||

Enoch, praying for John too. May I ask for prayer for anytime today & tomorrow for the bank to do a fair appraisal with my son's house? If they give a dishonest appraisal (which happened recently in their neighborhood) it will impact the sale of their house. Please pray that the appraiser is fair & honest. THANK YOU ! Will post the current details on the answered prayer section, but it has blown me away that we can ask God to help in the practical areas of life & that He is there when we need Him. | ||
