Hello Friends, An update... I came home late thursday evening. I have been in isolation in hospital for the past 18 days. Today I am weak, but doing alright. God is good. My blood counts are way down all across the board. The doctors tried all they know to do... blood transfusions, platelet transfusions, neupogen injections, and on....The counts would rise some for a few days and then drop dangerously low again. They tell me I have weeks...mayby longer. What time God calls me home... I leave in His hands. I am greatful for this time, a true answer to prayer, as there are things I still must do. My friend Debra (I pray everyone has such a friend), will help me with that. She and my husband are caring for me. I will have hospis care here at home starting soon. It feels so good to be in my own bed. This day when I read the response to Deb's contacting Colleen..(Thank you Colleen), I am overwhelmed with the outpouring of support in kind words and much welcomed prayer. My spirit is lifted...I feel the love folks here have for each other. My heart thanks you all. I have always been greatful for being led to this forum. It was a great support to me when I first left Adventism. (Why do I keep wanting to say I left THE church?). I surely rounded-out my education on Adventism here. Again...thank you all!! I have at times been moved to tears and prayer by postings here. At other postings, I have laughed until I cried. Always I feel blessed for being here. I will read/post again as I am able. Do not worry for me. I have peace. I still covet your prayers, especially for my family. Blessings, Toria |

I am grateful to our awesome God for your attitude and belief in Jesus Christ. It is a great comfort to me to know that we just do not go into nothingness when Jesus takes us home. I will be praying for you and your family. Welcome back. Diana L |

Hi Toria, I havent "met" you as I have only been on here a few days, but in the short time I have been on here I have seen what wonderful loving people are here :-) It is very apparent that you are very much loved. I also will pray for you that you will be with your family as long as possible and that when the time does come for you to leave here and go home to see Jesus that the transition will be smooth and peaceful. That change will no doubt be a great adventure. Kind of scary... maybe... but at the same time, to KNOW in your heart that once your eyes are closed here that the next thing you will see is Jesus and all the wonderful and exciting things he has prepared for you, to be able to sit at his feet and ask him all those questions and have him personally tell you all those things that we all would like the answers to... what an AWESOME God ! Blessings and peace to you and your family. Francie |

Toria, Thank you for posting and letting us know how you are and "where" things are at. I have to admit, I started crying when I read your post. Crying, because I feel the kinship that being in Christ gives between believers. You are dearly loved and cherished. I'm sure this is a special time for you and your family and for your dear friend Debra. I agree with you - home feels best and our own beds are wonderful . I'm continuing to lift you and your family and friends in prayer. May this be a special time for you all - may it be filled with His peace, His presence and His love. We will look forward to hearing from you as you are able. I am praying that you will be pain free. And if God chooses to heal - praise the Lord, and if He chooses not to - praise the Lord. You are His and NOTHING can snatch you out of His hands. You are protected and safe in His gentle care. Blessings to you, my dear, Keri |

Toria, This is one of my favorite scriptures. "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27 I am praying that God's peace envelop you, your family, household, and friends. I am praying that God is glorified and that many come to know Him and His exceeding grace through you and your present circumstances. If you are able, Toria, will you share one of your favorite scriptures with us? With love, Sparrow |

Toria, I have to say that I am so thankful you have the peace that passes understanding that our awesome God has given you. I know that God is holding you and your family at this time. Toria, I am heartsick to read your update, and at the same time I am encouraged. But mostly heartsick. I emailed you before I read this, so Ill email again later. I can't imagine not having you here, even though we have never met. Im still praying for your complete healing on this earth, and I will continue to do so. If Jesus doesnt heal this mortal body, then I will have to settle for seeing you in the new heaven and earth. Ill never forget the day God gave me complete assurance of Salvation. I was in a Community Bible Study meeting, and I was thinking that I would love to have more time to spend with some of my new friends in the study.... I was just so busy. God spoke to me in my heart very clearly. He said, "You are saved, and so are ALL the women in this group. You have ETERNITY to get to know them better". It was a life changing moment to me. I was fully Adventist, and didnt believe one should say they were saved, yet God was telling me that I was saved. Amazing moment. I was never the same. It was 5 years later that I left Adventism, but I never doubted my salvation from that day on. I digress, but what I am saying is this: Im grateful that we have eternity to get to know one another, and look forward to many "girl" talks, whether in this life or the next. (((((Toria)))))) Lori |

Dear Toria, I'm so glad you're home and felt well enough to write. There really is no place like home. I want you to know I love you and am praying for you and your family. You are one of the prayer warriors on this forum. Your posts and ministry here have touched me in so many ways. Could I share one of my favorite passages? Its Psalm 121 I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help come? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel Will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is your keeper; The LORD is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not smite you by day, Nor the moon by night. The LORD will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in From this time forth and forever. Heavenly Father, I ask you to be super close to Toria during this time. Fill every inch of her room with your Spirit so that all who enter will know Your peace. Show Toria how much you love her. I know You are a God of miracles and can do anything. I ask for the amount of every ingredient of her blood to normalize. You are so strong and able! I pray that you will give Toria more glimpses of who You are and a joy about the things that await her eventually. As she reads Your Word, I ask that it will come alive in fresh new ways. I ask that as she goes through the days ahead you will fill her with deep, discernable peace and even joy. I ask that you will give Toria, her family and Debbie special and even fun times together. Be especially close to her family during this time. I ask God that you will love them in extra special ways. God, I'm so grateful that you sent Toria to this forum to become part of our lives. I thank You for her and ask that Your will will be done in her life. I know You are preparing all of our mansions, but ask that Your will make hers extra special. We'll all be visiting it after You return. Thank You Lord that Your will is perfect and although we don't understand, we can trust You with everything because You are strong and loving. Amen I love you, Toria! (Keep posting when you can - OK!) Joyfulheart |

If we ever have a chance to travel to the east coast, we will visit your special place. You are truely blessed to have the Savior, a husband and that one special friend at your side. I have always felt that you have been our "prayer warrior" and I even noticed you doing that just this week with River's prayer request. Thank you for being upward looking through all of this and setting an example for the rest of us. I continue to pray for you and your family. You are very loved Shirley |
