Do any of you have some concrete examples/proof that EGW plagerized any of her health reforms/message? Could use some concrete examples/proof. Thanks, JRT |

Rather my than "re-invent the wheel", you will find that Ron Number's well-known "Prophetess of Health" is loaded with examples. That is what the entire book is about. I recently purchased a used paperback copy of it for $11 on Amazon.com. I also have a link of possible interest at Exposing Adventism - Where did the Health Message really come from? Gilbert, Thanks so much for the link and the book reference . . . I'm in dialogue with others that are questioning Adventism and one of the questions raised was in regards to EGW's "visions" on health reform . . . so this will be helpful. Thanks, JRT |

Jrt, I have the book Gilbert references by Ron Numbers. Considering the topic you are interested in, I highly recommend you getting a copy for yourself. Mr. Numbers take the 'neutral' position of an investigator and simply lays out the facts. In his book you get to draw your own conclusions. Phil |

If you can find one, get EGW's first book on health, published in 1863 called "Appeal To Mothers". You can buy a used original online. The book is partially available online at the EGW Estate, but (this is hilarious) because she quoted other authors in the second half of the book they left those quotes out. In "Appeal To Mothers" she lays out the position that eating meat leads to masturbation which causes tuberculosis, insanity, liver disease and a host of other ailments. Have them read that and ask if they think that the message is inspired and accurate health information. If it is, why is it not taught in their schools and handed out at evangelistic meetings? |
