I woke up and smelled the coffee. The last time I went to a weekend Pathfinder leadership meeting, it was who was going to make the Coffee run, and did someone bring Coffee Makers! What a bunch of hypocrites! I always felt something was wrong with some the teachings only after attending other churches did it became clear. Several years ago my mother, after 42 years of attending the Adventist Church started attending a Baptist church with her Aunt on Sunday, she told me about the blessing she received from it. I didnít understand then and warned her about other Churches. I was compelled if not dragged by the Holy Spirit to a United Methodist Church near our new home after prayer and being so tired of a dead church service on Saturday, we went. never ever thought I could go to church on Sunday. They also have a Sat. PM Worship... helps with Sabbath issues for me. Now I understand, no itís not the music, contemporary worship, or anything else SDA's may think or have been lead to believe goes on in other Churches. It is Jesus! a spiritual out- pouring in all other Faiths, people coming to Christ and YES being saved by his Grace. Not by a Sunset calendar. What SDA Pastors should do on Sunday is visit other churches, and learn. After growing up as a SDA attending the schools, church, and starting my children in this same way, at age 37 my family and I have truly found Jesus at a United Methodist Church. Coffee and Doughnuts in the church foyer may help those SDA's to wake up! God Bless. |

Bernie I found out the same thing you did. After being Born Again I started Going to all different kinds of churches. I found the small nondenominational churches to be the best. I went for a whole year every Sabbath with my wife and kids and every Sunday by myself. One day my wife decided to go with me. Since that day She and the kids have never wanted to go back. Since going to the Trinity Evangelical Free church my whole family have given our lives to the Lord. The Holy Spirit is truly awsome. |
