Last night I attended a very very lively Christian Big Band concert.

For those of you that like Big Band music, with Christian testimony this group is top notch.

This band is from Nashville and brings a distinct flavour to some old hymns. For this guy growing up in the sheltered world of Adventism, I have never quite heard this type of presentation in a church. For a horn geek like myself, the players were amazing, and all to the glory of God.

So if you like it fast, loud, and screaming high...check these guys out when they are in your area. Church will never seem the same again. Sort of brings a whole new meaning to....Lift Up the Trumpet and Loud Let it Right.

For those of you in the Southern Cal area. They are putting on 2 concerts IN the LLU Church January 14 2008. What I would give to be there.

For a taste of what to expect, check out their website. Thank goodness the Coronary care unit is near by, as I think it might make for an interesting evening.

Randy, do they have any banjos in that mix?

A big band to me is a broken guitar, a busted banjo and a fiddle thats seen better days. :-)

I have an Adventist friend who plays beautifully on a handsaw.
