This song says it all. He's a real nowhere Man, Sitting in his Nowhere Land, Making all his nowhere plans for nobody. Doesn't have a point of view, Knows not where he's going to, Isn't he a bit like you and me? Nowhere Man, please listen, You don't know what you're missing, Nowhere Man, the world is at your command. (Lead Guitar) He's as blind as he can be, Just sees what he wants to see, Nowhere Man can you see me at all? Nowhere Man, don't worry, Take your time, don't hurry, Leave it all till somebody else lends you a hand. Doesn't have a point of view, Knows not where he's going to, Isn't he a bit like you and me? Nowhere Man, please listen, You don't know what you're missing, Nowhere Man, the world is at your command. He's a real Nowhere Man, Sitting in his Nowhere Land, Making all his nowhere plans for nobody. Making all his nowhere plans for nobody. Making all his nowhere plans for nobody. |

Yep, Jim--that pretty much describes all of us. The turnaround comes when we begin to believe what God said through Jeremiah to Israel: "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'" (Jer 29:11) God was specifically promising Judah that He would bring them back to the land after 70 years in Babylon. But God never forgets His people. When you are His, you can trust Him to bring you into His peace and hope and resolution. Jim, ask God to teach you to know His voice and to be able to trust Him. His desire is for you to live in the absolute peace of knowing you are secure in Him. Ask Him to heal your heart. Praying, Jim... Colleen |

Jim, I just prayed for you. The journey out of SDAism sometimes resembles a desert in the middle of nowhere--parched and dry with blinding sandstorms that, at times, can discourage people from pressing on. Thankfully, we have an oasis in Jesus. River, Your rewording of the song is quite good. I especially like the verse "Adventist man, trust Jesus/Read the word in context/And Jesus Christ will take you by the han-nd." Knowledge of the Word makes all the difference. Cease_Striving |
