Hmmmmmm I had a thought hit me this morning: All this talk by Adventists about being "perfect" and having "the character of God reproduced in us" and that we can and must do that to be saved. Doesn't that amount to them believing we can be like God(no we can't). How is this so different from the ORIGINAL lie Satan told Adam and Eve, that if they ate from the tree God said not to they would "be like God"? Hmmmmm is there a congruence there between these 2 lies? |

Interesting point! Adventists emphasize a focus on trying to be perfect like Jesus (in fact for a time after the mythical Close of Probation even existing without Him!), while Christians emphasize our inadequacies and total dependence on God's unfathonable grace. What a difference in focus! Gilbert Jorgensen |

I wonder just HOW do they think they will exist without Him?? Aren't they calling Him a liar by this when He said Himself. "I will be with you always, till the end of the world."? |

The Pen of Dis-information says they will have achieved perfection by then. And as Dennis Priebe pointed out, Jesus is just waiting on the Seventh-day Adventist Church to produce enough good people (no, make that perfect people), and then He will come. Adventist doctrine (and Dennis Priebe at Amazing Facts) actually teaches that! http://www.dennispriebe.com/documents/What%20is%20the%20Final%20Atonement.html Gilbert Jorgensen |

Hmmmmmmm didn't the Pharisees believe the Messiah would come when all of Israel kept one perfect Sabbath? Kinda similar isn't it? I call "Amazing Facts" "Amazing Fantasies" It's truly amazing that people believe this baloney yet there was a time when I did. |

It's the veil, Reb. We all wore it—and the Light of truth is overwhelming once the veil comes off. I agree—it takes time to actually adjust to the idea that I was so entrenched in literal deception and unbiblical error. Praise God He removed that veil! Colleen |
