When I look at others around me. My own problems often pale in comparison. Then there are those times when I say,why me? I consider that each persons problems and sufferings are very much important to them. And I have see where we pay more attention to others needs , that often we experience relief from our own. I wonder how God looks at us individually. Does he say, you don't realize how blessed you are. What am I saying here? Just that , I wonder how significant our problems are in the big scheme of things. When I look at how much unspeakable horror there is in wars or even close to home when tragedy strikes families, accidents, cancer etc... Then I am ashamed I even sorrow at all. My problems pale in view of the bigger picture. Then I wonder if I even matter. Am I incidental or am I personally important to God. All these are relationship attitudes. These are the ingredients that knit together the relationship process. I embarass myself to show this insecurity. Perhaps it will mean something to others. |

Matthew 10:29 "Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will. Matthew 10:30 "But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Matthew 10:31 "Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. Hebrews 13:5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Hebrews 13:6 So we may boldly say: "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:7 Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct. Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. |

I have learned that God is concerned about everything that affects us. He knows what is important and what is insignificant. I want to retire and do not have money to do so. When I get antsy about it and complain to God, He brings to my mind a couple of questions: Diana, how long have you driven a stick shift car? Diana, are you doing something you like and made good money? Diana, are you healthy? I have to answer yes to each and tell God that I drove a stick shift car for 46 years and could still do it if I needed to. So I have decided that when God says it is time for me to retire, He will make sure there is enough. He cares about us and like I said, He knows what is important and what is not. Diana |
