OK, Bible Scholars, could you tell me where that text is ... I think it's in the minor prophets, that predicts that the Sabbath stops at the cross. I have been looking and can't seem to put my finger on it.. I have read it before.

Thanks,
Lisa

Not sure what verse you're referring to, but I'm curious why this thread is not showing up when I click 'Last Day'? Hope someone does know about the verse too!

There are several posts on other threads that aren't showing up on "Last Day" either.

Lisa, are you referring to Jeremiah 31:31-33? It's the verses about God establishing a new covenant:

"Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah--not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."

Not sure if that's what you're referring to. It's a prediction/prophecy but not directly about the Sabbath stopping at the cross. But those verses were impacting for me the first time I read them when I started understanding what "covenants" were!

I just found them, they are Hosea 2: 10-12 and Amos 8:4-10. Read the last verses of Amos... amazing.

Lisa

P.S. Grace, that verse in Jeremiah is wonderful as well!!

Zephaniah 3:18 might fit in, if I remember right:

"The sorrows for the appointed feasts
I will remove from you;
they are a burden and a reproach to you."

Oh! And Isaiah 60:20!

"Your sun will never set again,
and your moon will wane no more;
the Lord will be your everlasting light,
and your days of sorrow will end."
