Here is a repost of the upcoming womens retreat announcement---It's not too late--come join us ladies, it will be great fun and fellowship. Lucybugg, I used to live in Middle Valley, TN. 1986-1989. And graduated from Southern Missionary College in 1984! I did grow up in California, but the southern accent has taken over! Come go with us! Sabra, I would love to see you again! Carol2 and I are going, along with some other former adventists. We are looking forward to a great time. Can't wait to see what God has in store for us all. It looks like there will be plenty of time for hanging out, shopping the great outlet malls for shoes, (sorry, couldnt resist!), and just fellowship in the mountains! Sorry Guys, this is for ladies, but I hoped you would read this far to think of your wives, sisters, daughters, friends, etc. We will debunk the myth that we are bitter! Ha, we are FREE women---look out! We are women of Joy! This is the perfect conference for us! We love, because He first loved us! Come join us, it will be awesome. Email me or Carol2. Javagirl, My wife just had a operation for gall stones and gall bladder removal and I am taking care of everything, the cooking, the cleaning, the whole bit while she recuperates. I now qualify for the womenís retreat. I must put on my lipstick and look my best right after I shave my beard. I tell you girls a womenís work is never done. Look for a feller wearing a cowboy hat and high heels toten a possum. Miss River

River, Why do you think we ladies leave on a retreat for a few days! Maybe next time your wife can just come on a retreat with us ladies, if she wants you to appreciate her, and skip the surgery part. However, tell her I do wish her a very, very, very, slooooow recovery. I imagine she will need about a month off of all her regular duties to recover. This picture I get in my head of you in lipstick is not a good one.....I do have a good selection of heels, however, if you need to borrow some. Lori |

Lori and all you other lovely ladies, have a very good time at the retreat. I am sure you will be blessed and will carry that blessing home to share with others. It would be nice if I lived close to you, cause if I did, I would go with all of you. River, the picture I have of you with heels and lipstick is, well, let me just say, hilarious. Hope your wife is getting better. Like Lori said, I hope it is a sloooooooow recovery. Have a blessed time at the retreat. Diana |
