I wonder what the date will be when the first FAF gathering will be held in the Kingdom?

What do you suppose the head count will be?

What would the theme be? Who will the presenters be?

What will they be wearing?

What foods will be presented at the table?

Will there be door prizes?

Just Curious,

Steve

Martin, you're funny. :-) Maybe he meant the Magic Kingdom???

All I can think of is that everyone in the Kingdom will be either naked or clothed in robes (as the spirits in Revelation). I imagine there were be some really good food. Maybe the kind of 7 layer chocolate fudge cake that won't make you fat.

I'm really looking forward to some downloads of the weekend. I thought about y'all the whole time and wondered who was there and what was happening. It sounds like it was awesome!

By the way Colleen, the lecture you heard about the history and reliability of scripture is very similar to one I heard at my church a couple of weeks ago. A former athiest (now a Christian) Donald A. Bierle told us about how much of the gospels were written within 70 years of Jesus' death, which was significant because it was still in the generation of those who knew him. It was fascinating! For anyone who is interested he wrote a book called "Surprised By Faith" which explains many of the Biblical statistics. Hopefully the lecture you heard will be online though?

Greetings to all,

I just wanted to share a few thoughts about this last weekend. :-)

It started both very bad and then very GOOD ! ! It took me more than 2 1/2 hours to drive there at about 15mph. It usually takes me less than 45 min. I aimed to get there 1 1/2 hours early and I was almost late. :-)

One of the first things that made it all worth it was to be greeted by Flyinglady (Diana) with a hug, a wonderful smile of welcome, and a question about how Annie was doing. THANKS Diana.

As Colleen has already described we had Mark Martin speak Friday night and then Saturday morning Greg Taylor gave a wonderful presentation using as his text the "Beatitudes". It was titled, "Secrets of a Spirit-Filled Life". He brought out thoughts and insights I had never even considered before. THANKS Greg.

I attended a different presentation each session and only made one choice which I would have changed in hindsight. I was truely blessed by the weekend.

One other blessing of the weekend was the chance to meet others who have already traveled the "road" and spend time listening to them. I met people from Idaho, Canada, Iowa, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Northern Califorina, and locally. I"m sure I've forgotten to mention some. :-)

The questions I heard people asking were honest and insightful. God is truely leading many of His people on a journey of a deeper relationship with Him.

God is good and awesome in how he leads and directs each of us.

In Him,

Richard

PS: I had a couple of people walk up to me and say they wanted to meet "seekr". I thought my FAF name must be on my name tag but then I realized my picture was on each of my posts. How many grey haired and bearded men were there? I guess it wasn't so hard to figure out which one was me. :-)

I wonder what the date will be when the first FAF gathering will be held in the Kingdom? Answer. Matthew 26:29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

What do you suppose the head count will be? Answer: Revelation 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

What would the theme be? Who will the presenters be? Rev 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

What will they be wearing? Answer. Rev 19:8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

What foods will be presented at the table? Answer: Revelation 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Will there be door prizes? Answer: Revelation 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Just Curious,
I donít know how good a job I did of answering those questions Steve but I gave it the old one two.

I wonder what the date will be when the first FAF gathering will be held in the Kingdom? Without his Kingdom, we have no country.

What do you suppose the head count will be? Without his counting, we shall not be numbered.

What would the theme be? Who will the presenters be? Without his Glory, we have no glory, without him, we have nothing to present.

What will they be wearing? Without his robe of righteousness, we are naked and destitute.

What foods will be presented at the table? Without his bread, we are hungry continually.

Will there be door prizes? Without his crown, we are fallen.

Just Curious,
Glory to the Lamb of God, when we fall he lifts us, when we are hungry, he feeds us, when we are sick he nurses us, when our soul is in tumult, he gives us peace, when we are thirsty, he offers his cup that we may drink to the full, when we are injured he anoints us with oil.
Isa 55:1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
The things offered are already paid for; for Christ purchased them at the full.
Investigate that you Adventist.

I intend to give up everything and anything just to be there at Jesus' victory march and dance. I want so much to hear Him say "behold, I make all things new."

Won't that be great, an FAF reunion in heaven?!

In the meantime, we're already beginning to make plans for next year's reunionóI hope many of you can attend!

Jeremiah, you're right about the founders of Adventism appearing to come from the Reformation branch because they came from Christian churchesóbut their beliefs did not stem from Christian orthodoxy. Their founding Arian belief is not a twig from any Reformation or Catholic or apostolic trunk.

The gnostics and ebionites stemming from the times of the apostles also seemed to spring up from the churchóbut they were really heretics teaching new variations of old heresies cloaked in Christian words. The Adventists say they continued the Reformation which Luther began but was unable to finish. The period of time between Luther and Adventism was, according to the way Adventists understand themselves, largely a fallow time when the full gospel had not yet been restored. It took the new prophetess Ellen and the other pioneers to reinstate the Sabbath and to introduce the IJ and the Great Controversy to complete the Reformation begun by Luther.

Adventists see themsleves as being a unique movement begun late in historyóthis sort of beginning does not trace from the apostolic church. It sprang up, unique and late, for a unique and special end-time purpose.

And Ramone, I agree that there are spirits responsible for these perpetually-recurring heresies. But we have the Holy Spirit and the Word of God as our defense against being destroyed by heresy.

Praise God!

Colleen,
Did my brief history make it in the program?

And is it possible, and how, to obtain Dale's presentation?

Jess, your testimony was awesome! We'll have Michael Hicks' reading of it online probably next week. Carolyn Ratzlaff told me later that she and Dale were both quite emotional about itóthey left the church the same year you did, and their personal circumstances with the numberless talks with conference officials, harrassment, etc. were like yours. Carolyn said, "All those were our experiences, too!"

Thank you, Jessóand I've been praying for you; hope you feel better!

Thank you Freeatlast and Colleen,
I had not heard. Recovery from my surgery has been a challenge. It took a few days for the "real pain" to set in and now I'm waiting for it to gradually fade away. Swelling makes it impossible to sit very long, even with one of those "do-nut" cushions, so I'm not online much.

Return to see the surgeon this Thursday Mar 1st.
Thank you for your prayers.

I'm touched and blessed to hear that something in my testimony blessed others. Especially surprised and blessed to hear Carolyn's and Dales comments.

I don't understand what "reading it online next week" means. Is there an audio part of the forum I'm unaware of? How could I listen in?

Thanks again for your continued prayers,
Jess

Jess,
As Michael read your experience, tears streamed from my eyes. God is so good.
I was so blessed by all the things I heard from Dale, Mark, Greg, and the history of the Christian church was something I never heard growing up.
Colleen, you know you can ask me to do anything for the next reunion and I will be there.
I really look forward to being there again next year. In the meantime let us keep encouraging each other, praying for each other and keeping Jesus Christ first in our lives. He is so awesome.
Diana
