I wanted to remind everyone to remember to sign up to attend the FAF weekend on February 16-18 in Redlands, California. In addition to having Dale Ratzlaff, Greg Taylor, and Mark Martin each giving a keynote address (Dale will speak on Saturday evening when we invite the local Adentists to attend), we will also have break-out sessions on a number of topics. Greg, Dale, and Mark will each lead sessions. Joan and Gaylen Yorba-Gray, who translate Proclamation into Spanish, will also conduct break-out sessions on overcoming the grief and pain of the past and how forgiveness "works" when those hurting us aren't looking for forgiveness. This year we will also have a new "track" of break-out sessions called "Christianity EDU". We will have four different speakers. Dr. Rick Langer, associate professor of biblical and theological studes at Talbot Seminary, will lead one sesson on "The History of the Chruch" focussing especially on the people and events in Christian history from the Reformation on, especially during the 19-20th centuries, that many of us knew almost nothing about as Adventists. Dr. Gary Inrig, pastor of Trinity Evangelical Free church, will conduct a session on "How To Recognize the Pure Gospel" and will focus on how to find a healthy, Bible-teaching church that honors Jesus and the pure word of God. Dr. Elizabeth Inrig will lead a workshop on inductive Bible study. She is the past director of women's ministries for the EV Free Church of North America, and her doctorate in Biblical studies is from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Dr. Jon Rittenhouse, a Christian apologetics teacher at Biola University and Campus Crusade for Christ campus pastor, will discuss "Is the Bible Trustworthy?" He will focus on how we know the Bible is completely reliable and trustworthy. The cost for the weekend is $65 per person and includes snacks on Firday evening, three meals on Saturday, and handouts. After the 1st of January, the cost increases to $75. You can register online here:http://www.trinityonline.org/cgi-bin/index.cgi?section=&name=adventistseminar I hope we get to meet you then! The Ontario airport is probably the most convenient. Colleen |

The only problem with Ontario is that you come in on those smaller planes---the ones with one isle down the middle and cramped seating. You can come into LAX on a big, comfortable 'wide body' and then grab a shuttle bus over to Union Station. From there, you can take the Metro train into Riverside. There you can pick up a rental car there or have someone pick you up. The Metro fee used to be about 8 bucks from LAX to Riverside. Bill |

Would John Wayne work too? It's closer to Riverside than LAX, but I'm not sure if there's a connection on the Metro. LA |

John Wayne is actually quite a long way away from Redlands, and the traffic from Orange County is bad. The other one that would work well is Palm Springs. It's just about the same distance from Redlands as is Ontairo, and the traffic is better. Ontario, though, is bigger and is actually an international airport. (Ontairo airport has been rebuilt in the past very few years, and it is no longer the small-ish municipal airport it used to be.) Colleen |

Ontario is now an international airport. I always fly into it to visit my relatives in Riverside. I use the big jets that land there from Las Vegas. Colleen, I have registered already, so I will see all of you there. I am really looking forward to it. Diana |

Colleen and Diana, I wonder how an international airport is defined. In years past I think there have been times when it was not an honest statement. I believe that there are flights out of there to Mexico and Canada now. I agree it has been greatly improved and larger planes do move in and out. It is better than LAX for ease in leaving and returning. The planes from Ontario climb out over Pomona and make a turn over my school, They are high enough by that time that you can't hear them. Thank you GOD. Richard rtruitt@mac.com

Richard, If I remember correctly, we, YOU and I, have a duet to sing at the Feb 2007 reunion. Remember it was about who could say WAHOOO THE LOUDEST AND LONGEST. I have been practicing. Just thought I would remind you. Diana |

I really wish that I could make this conference, but I have the kids that week and weekend. My time with them is precious, so I rarely give it up for anything. I'm looking forward to what ever comes out on the web from the weekend? I'm assuming that there'll be some sort of recap or summary, written presentations, etc.? Larry |

I wish I could be there as well, but I'm going to start on my new study, nursing. Also I'm low on funds. I look so much forward to see the videos, hope there will be transcripts available as well. It would be nice if some one could film in general, so one can get an overall impression. Jesus you are wonderful, I love you! |

Richard/seekr777, it is you and I that are supposed to have that duet. Or do you have a selective memory??? I won't call it a senior citizen moment! You know I am just teasing you. I really do not want to do it either. Diana
