I don't know about you, but the other significant life changing event in my life, (the most recent being leaving Adventism) has been 9/11. I want to remember all the families who are missing someone, in some cases a number of someoneís right now. I want to remember what the consequences are for putting one's head in the sand. I remember each loved one in pain right now, God, and give their pain to you. Heal, Lord Jesus, and give them endurance and life again. Amen Lisa

I have been watching this on Fox news tonight and remember that day well. I was living in Northern Virginia and was working about 30 miles from Washington, DC and the Pentagon. I was in shock that this could happen on our soil. A family member of one of the physical therapists, with whom I worked, worked at the Pentagon. Her body was never found. I always tell firemen and policemen thank you when I see them ever since 9/11. They put their lives on the line frequently and get no recognition. So, I tell them thank you for doing your job. Just my way of honoring them. I also have 4 nephew who are policemen, 2 here in Henderson, 1 in Las Vegas and 1 in Riverside, CA. The one in Riverside has a brother who is studying to be a fireman near Portland, Oregon. Diana |

Diana, My cousin worked kitty corner to the trade towers. On that day he walked out miles covered in ash; his building was condemned because of the damage done by the towers coming down. There office has now been moved to Jersey. He had a number of friends he lost in the towers. I work with firefighters and police in an emergency room. They are civil servants, and I appreciate them so much. Thank you for sharing. Lisa

I watched the towers come down on live tv when it was happening. I am to this day amazed at the dedication of the firefighters and rescue workers. I just can't immagine the horror those people experienced, including your cousin, Lisa. I hope he is ok now. |
