Thanks for this link. I thought it was an interesting take on what is a (somewhat) difficult text to understand. I struggle with how to balance the 'freedom' that is referred to in the Gospel with 'laxness'. Perhaps it is my Adventist background, but I often wonder how else we are to judge how our lives reflect and honor Christ if not by the works we do? I realize that the good works we do are destined for us from the foundation of the world (Eph. 2), so in a sense they are only of Christ, but when reading Scripture it seems that at times that the Bible infers that we can either DO good works or NOT do good works... Anyway, I found the post to be thoughtful and thought-provoking. InSearchOf |

a SDA pastor told me once if it feels like "work" it probably is. If we are in Christ it is second nature to do good unto others no "work" involved. Dawn |
