To all the veteran's out there reading this I want to say a hearty Thank-you for your service. There is one fellow on here who is in the service in the armed forces who posts on here sometimes and I especially want you to know your hard work and dedication is appriciated. Diana, please extend this to your son. Today for Veteran's Day I plan to go to the festivities at the Ronald Regan Museum in Semi Vallley. The Air Force One that Pres. Regan used is on display there and can be toured. I've always wanted to do that so today is my lucky day. Also, last night on PAX was the Desmond Doss story. I sat through it just spellbound. That man is a true Amwerican hero. I really believe it was only from Divine intervention that he was able to complete the saving of so many wounded. I was so impressed with his true humility. It was a very inspritational story. You can go to www.desmonddoss.com for further information. Immediatelly after the Desmond Doss story on the same station was a one hour program on Elvis Presley and how much he liked gosple music. Now, I just love listening to Elvis and by far my favorite type of music is Southeran gosple so I watched that program, too. I was very impressed that at a concert he was giving well into his career a group of young girls stood up holding a big banner on which they had written, "Elvis is The King". Elvis saw that and got on the microphone and said into the crowd, "I am not the king. There is only one King and that is our Lord, Jesus Christ." The girls took down the banner. I hadn't realized how much a man of deep Christian faith Elvis was. BTY, his gosple tapes and CD's are available at Target. Also, his minister Rex Humbard spoke. Have any of you ever heard him? What is his bent, just courious.

Rex Humbard is a good old Southern Baptist, as was Elvis. I could sit and listen to Elvis sing southern gospel all day long and never tire of it. Elvis was very human and made a lot of mistakes in his life, but his faith in Jesus was never at issue!

I, also, want to thank all our veterans for making this a better USA for each of us. Susan, tell your boys thank you also. Joel, you are in the USAF, like my son. And there are others who have been in one of the military services. A BIG THANK YOU from one grateful citizen.
God has been with each of you in and out of the military.
I pray for our military every day.
Father in heaven, thank you for our military and for each man and woman who have served and are serving. Stay close to them and may they know that you are holding them in Your AWESOME hands.

Several months ago a theif reached into my car and stole all my cd's. I had a lot of Areatha Franklin gosple, several by John Michael Talbot, lots and lots by the Grateful Dead (yes, I am a card carrying fan club member of the Grateful Dead, btw.), some other gosple cd's and a lot of Hawaii'an music. So, now I have to start my cd collection all over again. I have prayed that the theif is enjoying my music. If any of you out there can share wonderful Southeran singers and groups on here I'd appriciate it and I will add a cd by them to my soon up and coming cd collection. Thanks.

Susan, I am a "Dead-head" BTW also. I went to many of their concerts when I was at PUC. I was very fortunate not to get caught. My favorite Elvis song of all time was when I saw a tape of him performing at the Las Vegas Hilton "How Great Thou Art". As Belva said, Elvis was a flawed character, but I believe he probably was saved. At least he was vexed by the gospel. One movie I saw which had live footage, had him expressing before one of his Vegas concerts, that he believed the Lord was coming very soon. It is possible that the Lord took him home prematurely early, as his lifestyle didn't match his profession unfortunately. I believe that Paul teaches this principle in Corinthians somewhere, but I don't have the reference.

A big thank you to all the Veterans on this day we honor their memory and their service. Joel London and Diana's son, we thank all of you.

Speaking of entertainers who are true Christians, today I heard some very stirring patriotic music from Charlie Daniels. He can really do Soouthern Gospel, and, if I were the devil, I wouldn't want to be in Charlie's way when "The Devil went down to Georgia looking for a soul to steal".

I would like to thank all of the Veterans also! There are so many in the U.S. that just don't know how rich we are. People on welfare are rich in the country compared to other places in the world and we can thank God and the men and women who were willing to give their lifes so that we could be free. We are FREE to WORSHIP and Praise JESUS and speak freely of His love! A very heart felt thank you to all our Veterans!

As a Veteran myself I fly Old Glory proudly on my own flag pole in front of our home. I honor the memory of all who faught for the cause of liberty and freedom, especially for those who paid the ultimate price.

One of my CO's was a direct descendant of Col. Travis of Alamo fame; another Staff Sgt. had scars from his walk in the Bataan Death March.

Yet I am so sad that while football players can pray in a huddle, prayer can be offered in congress and at White House and Government meetings, yet cannot be said in our own schools.
