Hey everyone! Just wanted to see if anyone was interested in attending the Ginny Owen concert (also featuring comedian Kenn Kington,) on November 12, First Baptist Woodstock, at 6:00 p.m. (doors open at 5:00, no reserved seating.) There are a couple of us planning to go, and we have 20 tickets. Thought maybe we'd gather for lunch beforehand. Let me know if you are interested!!! Sabra?????? |

Carol, count me in! Ginny owens is a favorite of mine, I cant resist a free concert! I'll repost a story about Ginny Owens from earlier this year... Leigh, Isnt her music and message great! Her song "If you want me to" was a true turning point for me a number of years ago. I was driving, and somehow got to a christian radio station, and that song was playing. I was in the blackest period of my life, a truly horrible time, everything was crashing around me, and when I heard those lyrics "so if all of these trials, bring me closer to You, Then I will walk thru the fire, if you want me to.....Im gonna go thru the valley, if you want me to." And I remember thinking " you stupid b----" I was so angry with God at that point, and bitter. But I couldnt get the song out of my head. And I wondered how anyone could say that to God and mean it. And I broke down and bought the CD, to try to understand that thinking, and cried the whole first few months I listened to it. And driving around one day while listening to it, is when I discovered the community bible study at a local church, and went ahead and signed up for it. That was the beginning of a incredible transformation in my relationship with God, and the beginning of studying for myself to find truth. When I went to her concert, I was shocked to find out that she was blind! Now the song "I wanna be moved" speaks to me... "wanna be a rebel, with a Holy cause, stand against the devil and hold up my cross you have a mission for me; a reason why I'm here, to radiate your Glory, with sweet songs to you ears..." And one more... "FREE" My mind finds it hard to believe That you became humanity and changed the course of history, Because you loved me so. And my heart cannot understand Why you'd accept me as I am, But you say you've always had a plan, And that's all I need to know. So when I am consumed by what the world will say, It's then You're singing to me, as you remove my chains Your free to dance- Forget about your two left feet And you're free to sing- Even joyful noise is music to Me And your're free to love, Cause I've given you My love, and it's made you free I have set your free.... Hope to meet some folks at the concert, I really crave meaty conversation and discussion regarding the wonders of God. Thanks for praying, C, K, D. J. you know to what I refer! God is faithful. Hello Java, I LOVE your praises. My heart sings along with yours as you share the love and peace you have found in Christ Jesus. I know exactly what you mean when you say you "crave meaty conversation". I wish I lived on the left coast just so I could go to the concert with all of you! Remember me as you all sing and dance as David did in your celebration of Jesus' redeeming love! Denise |

Great Javagirl! We have about six or seven going now. I just e-mailed another couple in the Atlanta area to see if they want to go. If you want more information about the concert, go to the J93.3 website. I think it's j933.com - it is a free concert! I'm heading to the North Georgia mountains today for a 3-day weekend, but if anyone is interested, please e-mail me at cricket731@yahoo.com - love and prayers, Carol SABRA???? |

This is not just a free concert. Two musicians, one comedian, and a speaker. This should be good! You'll see Ginny Owens, Kenn Kington and Babbie Mason perform as well as hear speaker Shaunti Feldheim, Author |
