I am at home to pick up some things so I am letting you all know what is going on. My wife is 8 months pregnant today. Apparently her uterine environment has done all that it can do, and they are preparing to take the baby late friday or early saturday. Right now they are giving her steroid needles every 24 hours, and keeping her on round the clock surveillance. Hopefully the steroids will help the baby's lungs accelerate.

Yor, your wife and the baby are in my prayers. Stay strong. You each are very important to many people. I'll be praying.

Jesus be close to Hrob, his wife, and his child today. Let them feel the comfort and assurance of your holy presence. Grant their child life and health. Let Your name be glorified through the blessing of this family. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Hrob,
I had both my babies early. Praise God for all the advancement in modern science! He has given physicians many abilities to aid in this process. I am praising God that His hand is on you and your little family. I am adding my prayers with all the rest of those who love you that you will see God's hand of comfort and love and that His name will be glorified through you, your wife and new little Hrob! :-)

Keep us informed!

Hrob, I pray for you and your family in a special way today. I pray for your new baby to be healthy, and since I know you are a baseball fan, like I am (although we root for different teams), today we are all on the same team praying and rooting for your family.

Hrob,
You and your wife and baby have been in my prayers since you told us she was pregnant. It is hard to believe that is has been 8 months.
Father in Heaven, You are the Great Physician, and I am asking you to be with Hrob, his wife and the baby that your Hand will be over all of them, especially for his wife and the baby. Hold them in your awesome hands and may they know that you are there for them at all times. Thank you God. You are awesome.

Hrob, I'm praying also. BTW, Richard was born at 8 months--and that was, well..before they had so many advances in neonatal medicine!

Melissa, that gave me a boost. Thank you.
The baby had a rough night last night so the doctor is going to take her tonight at 6:30pm. I am home doing some last minute cleaning just in case company comes.

Hrob, I was born almost a month early and only weighed 5 lbs. I wasn't able to go home from the hospital for a quite while. Today I'm 6' 1", 167 lbs. and have always been in good health throughout my life. As far as I can tell, being a premie hasn't had any negative impact on me at all (other than perhaps the first couple of weeks after birth).

And you me... a man that cleans....whatta man! I'm sure it's nervous energy that has to keep you moving or "doing" something!

I do pray all works out well. It sounds as though she is well cared for, but I'm sure it's intimidating to a new pappa! Hopefully it'll be nothing more than a great story for the baby book!

I don't know if what I will say now will give you any peace but here goes. I was born 54 years ago, taken by C-section in the emergency room. I weighed 3 pounds 6 ounces and dtroppedto 2 pounds 12 ounces. Being a Catrholic hospital and since all the nurses were nuns they called the priest who did Last Rites on me and baptized me catholic, this after my parentsc had made it clear to them that they were SDA. Also, and remember this is 54 years ago, the priest and the minister had prayer together for my mom and me. I believe my patrents told me I was around five weeks old before I got to be taken home. I was in the incubater for a long time but had no other life support. I don't think life support was invented yet back then. So, take heart, things are way better even now. My prayers and my heart is with you, your wife and the baby. What's her name?
