Think of your present walk through Adventism as simply that - a walk through. Like Israel when they were still in Egypt, you have seen the Lord's power and you are on your way OUT!

Richard, I am so sorry. I will be praying for you as well. Nothing--not life nor death nor any other power--can take you out of the hands of Jesus.
We look forward to your return. Feel free to show up here if you ever just need encouragment or prayer during the next few weeks.
Heretic, (there's that name again that so doesn't seem to fit you!), God systematically leads us to the truth and to the doors He wants us to walk through when it's time. There are a great many conflicting feelings, but when you're praying for truth and guidance, His hand becomes really clear at just the right times.
God's faithfulness is complete, and it's impossible to tell you how much relief and peace there is once you take that step into saying "yes" to Jesus and risking losing all that seems important. Just tonight at women's Bible study we were in Philippians 3:1-11. In verses 8-9 Paul says,
"What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christóthe righteousness that comes from God and is by faith."
To leave for the sake of Jesus and truth yields amazing congruence and peace. Truly what we lose is nothing compared to gaining Jesus.

I work at a newspaper as a graphic designer, that's how I came across the ad that attracted me to the R.S. in 1985.
Well, after departing the SDA in 1987, wouldn't you know that another ad came in to be designed for an upcoming R.S.! You can bet I made the ad look very unattractive to deter any interest. |

Sound to me you were an Israelite midwife delivering and saving the male babies, during their bondage in Eygpt.
God works in mysterious ways. Many times surrepitiously through His saints.

Pw, I am more worried about me being judged harshly for "endorsing" the act, than attributing female qualities to you.
I thought the graphic alteration was rather funny. No telling, but, I may have done the same thing. :<)

I tend to think I may be going through a "mid-wife" crisis after my SDA experience. |
