Another article I want to share with you. Feel free to copy it to share with others.
I had this happen to me when I lived in Montreal, Quebec. At the time it hurt.
Diana
One day, a man went to visit a church.

He got there early, parked his car, and got

out. Another car pulled up and the driver got

out and said,"I always park there!

You took my place!" The visitor went inside

For Sunday School, found an empty seat and sat

down.

A young lady from the church

approached him and stated,

"That's my seat! You took my place!"

The visitor was somewhat distressed

by this rude welcome, but said nothing.

After Sunday School, the visitor went

into the sanctuary and sat down.

Another member walked up to him and said,

"That's where I always sit! You took my

place!"

The visitor was even more troubled by this

treatment, but still He said nothing.

Later as the congregation was praying

for Christ to dwell among them,

the visitor stood up, and his appearance

began to change.

Horrible scars became visible on

his hands and on his sandaled feet.

Someone from the congregation

noticed him and called out, "What happened

to you?"

The visitor replied, as his hat

became a crown of thorns, and a tear fell

from his eye,

"I took your place."

When you receive this, say a prayer.

That's all you have to do.

There is nothing attached.

This is powerful.

Just send this to four people

and see what happens on the fourth day.

Maybe, just maybe, we can get the world

to start thinking of Who took our place.

Do not break this, please.

Diana, we have a list of things called, "You know you're a Lutheran if...". Actually to us Lutherans it is quite funny. One thing on the list is if we tell the visitor at church they have to move because they are sitting in our seat. I'll try to keep this in mind from what you posted above from now on when I go to church and someone is "in my seat". Actually, I have never told anyone they are in my seat. But, I do feel really put-out at having to sit somewhere else than my regular spot.

This reminds me of an off-an-on joke from when I was attending (Christian) school. When someone would sit down it a seat meant for someone else, the person sitting next to the seat would invariably say, "You can't sit there, that seat's saved." To which we would respond (irritatedly) "Why, is it going to heaven?"
Humorously,
Hannah
