First, I really like the new format on the forum. It is readable and easy to use. BUUUT... One of the features I miss from the old forum is the ability to choose to display only those topics that are fresh. Many forums have the options of dispaying one day, a few days, a week, etc. This would save a lot of load time and make it possible to avoid scrolling through all of the topics to find current posts. Another feature many feature is, when a topic is replied to it goes to the head of the topic list. This certainly saves a lot of time. Perhaps it is not possible, but I for one would appreciate it, if it were. Good work on a most valuable service! In His Service <>< Thomas

Thomas, look at the bottom of the page. There is a feature that allows you to look at the "last day" and "last week" just like on the previous version. Hopefully you can figure out where I am talking about. If not, maybe someone who is more fluent in computerese can tell you where it is. Doug |

Thomas, you're the second person today who has mentioned this "problem"--here's one way to make it easier for yourself. If you have the forum as a bookmark, you might want to reset it this way: First, go to the homepage of the website: www.formeradventist.com. Second, click on "forum". That click will take you to the opening page of the forum at the bottom of which is a box to click "enter forum". Third, click on "Enter Forum". The resulting page will have a list of categories: discussion, archives, prayer, etc. The bottom of this page has a blue band with "topics", "last day", "last week", "tree view", "search", "Help/Instructions", "program Credits". THIS is the page you should bookmark! That same blue band is at the bottom of every thread, so you can click when you're done reading. I hope this helps! Colleen |

Maybe I'm doing this wrong. I do come into the forum as instructed asnd when I click "last day" it tells me the number of posts in the last day and in which catagory. Then when I click on the catagory (ie Discussions), it gives me the entire list of topics. Some of the topics discussed are at the top of the list, some near the bottom. You have to go through the complete list to find all of those topics with entries. This is the situation I was addressing. If it is not possible to refine this, I guess it is workable. I just thought if it were possible to refine the search, it would be nice. Thanks Again. NOT complaining, you understand! Thomas |

Thomas, There is a little "+" sign beside the category (i.e. Discussions) If you click on that "+" sign, it will give you a tree view of the discussions for the last day. If you click on the word "Discussions" (as it appears you are doing) you will get the entire list of topics. Hope this helps. Doug |
