I have a close family member who has his young grandchildren with him for the summer. He is not SDA, never has been and never will be. But he attends the SDA sevice weekly with his wife. They have been married for many decades. He does not acknowledge the Trinity and says the SDA is wrong because it does and is a very strict Sabbathtarian. I asked him if he's been taking the kids to Sabbath School. He said no because their father is an atheist and their mother is a witch and the kids parents said he couldn't take the kids to that weirdo Saturday church. So they stay home and play video games. So I suggested he find a nice local Christian church and take the kids to Sunday School. He was appalled and said he'd never go to a Sunday church. I said, " don't you want your grandchildren to learn about Jesus"? He went into a deep depression and told me he had never thought about it like that and yes, learning about Jesus in a Sunday church would be preferable to athiesiam or learning the theaching on Wicca only. Aaaugh! Please keep this in your prayers, that I can be the wittness I need to be. |

Islander, here is a prayer for you and the grandchildren: Father God, Thanks you for Islander's concern for his grandchildren. Please be with Islander as he takes his grandchildren to a "Sunday" church so they can learn about Jesus. You know what they need and what they are learning at home. I ask that you over rule it with your truth and love. In the awesome name of Jesus I ask this. Amen |

Yes. It is very instilled in so many that it is wrong to have anything to do about acknowledging Jesus or Christianity on Sunday.I personally know quite a few who are so extreme. It's like they won't even profess Christ just because it's Sunday. When I was a little kid my dad would take me for rides in the car on Sunday mornings so he could drive past churches so he could show me "how the heathens worship". Yet, they would let me go to Sunday school with my cousins. They toldme the Luthetanand the Mennonites were the exception to the heathen thing, they were ok. |
