Haven't been on much lately d/t some very difficult circumstances with my elderly parents---please pray for God to guide those of us in the family that have a second meeting with an elder abuse lawyer tomorrow. My parents basically got conned out of their home by a crooked realtor...(my mom just didn't fully realize what she was doing...) This man has taken advantage of other older people & my mom "sold" their house without telling my sister & I what she was doing. I am praying for everyone mentioned above! I'm SO glad God is so merciful and will never forsake us, ever. | ||

Thanks, Diana, and all those that prayed. The meeting went well and the lawyers are filing a restraining order, so I can have a bit of a breather. They were supposed to be out of the house they've lived in for 50 years this Thursday, but it will be postponed d/t the restraining order. This man has committed elder abuse fraud and the lawyer is good. We are trying to save their home and also stop this guy. Thank You, God, for giving us a positive and productive meeting. Thank you everyone that took a moment to pray--God really did help us. We are all exhausted dealing with this on so many levels! | ||

Thank you, Asurprise! Will keep you updated as things develop. Really, my prayer is that this man will decide not to fight and just go away, but he stands to make a lot of $ off the deal. Elder abuse fraud, especially in this economy, is rampant & I have met many people that have been touched by it. I thank God for leading us to two women lawyers that are smart and honest. (Thank You, God!) | ||

Please pray for my dad. His name is Ed. I just got a text that he is at the ER with a large blood clot in his leg that developed after a bad fall on independence day. He has had multiple pulmonary embolisms before that have almost taken his life. He also battles with an aggressive cancer (which last I knew was under control...for now) and I don't know if that has any relationship to this. I just learned that he had stopped his blood thinner 6 days ago because of the initial internal bleeding. Not sure what is going on but he is in a lot of pain and we are waiting for answers. Thank you! BTW, he is a former Adventist with no church home or accountability. He gets most of his teaching from Christian TV (scary!). Please pray that perhaps this will be something that will encourage him to find fellowship. Right now he is being "ministered" to and advised by my condescending Adventist family. I know how difficult that is when all you really need are people who believe like you do when you are struggling. | ||

Thank you, Diana. An ultra sound ruled out their strong suspicions of a blood clot. Other tests confirmed that it's a painful skin infection called cellulitis. Not sure what that is or how you get it, but I'm so thankful it wasn't a clot. Thanks for your prayer.  Nikki | ||
