Google Jeff Pippenger, his " New prophecy " is what is causing the incredible controversy in the Adventist church. |

I just about threw up. I don't even have words to encompass what a horror this is. What, may I ask, is even the 'controversy' about this guy? I am hard pressed to even believe mainstream SDA's would give him the time of day...but maybe that is how out of touch I am. God help them. |

http://www.weaffirmsda.com/the-jeff-pippenger-movement/a-false-gospel - here is an article from an SDA source 'refuting' Pippenger, saying it is a false gospel and in the first few paragraphs saying what the true gospel is...so far, so good, right? yet they just can't help themselves!!!!!! Right after that comes this: "What was apostle Paul's own testimony regarding the message he preached to the lost? 2 Corinthians 2:2 “For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.” That doesn’t mean Paul taught that the law of God was of little importance, for it is in the death of Jesus that the law is lifted up. If sin is the transgression of the law and where there is no law, there is no sin, then Jesus need not have died to redeem us from the curse of the law, which is death. If you uplift Jesus on the cross, you lift up and magnify the law. But what does the Bible say a man must do to have salvation? John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Jesus is here speaking with a Jew who understood that the 10 commandments were binding. To believe on Jesus is to accept Him as Lord and Master and follow His teachings found in the Word of God." The blindness here is simply STUNNING beyond words. Basically, then, if you don't follow the law, you don't "believe". |

One church has just lost some lifetime members to the 'new' light from J Pippenger, it can be very painful when families are on two different sides. |

How long has this guy been around? Has his influence only affected the USA so far? Or has it already "spilled" over other countries as well? I wonder if it has already affected Spain or the UK. I haven't been involved in a SDA church for nearly 4 years now, but I get the feeling that it wouldn't take long for these things to spread. A few months ago I chatted online with a guy from the SDA church I used to attend in Spain, and he mentioned something about the problems that occurred when some were proclaiming that Jesus would return last October. |

My goodness...sigh. I haven't heard of Pippinger before, but I just googled him. He's certainly not mainstream Adventist. In fact, I don't think mainstream Adventism really is giving him the time of day. So often new "prophets" or EGW "expositors" get the limelight, create a furor among the more observant and fearful SDAs, and leave confusion and anxiety in their wake. Pippinger sounds like one of these. I watched part of a YouTube talk by him--no video, just a picture of a flower with subtitles of what he was saying--and it was pure confusion. It reminded me of numerology. No one can really take him seriously if they really analyze his words. But Adventists have already swallowed a deception, and they're ripe for further deception. I don't believe any Adventists really have complete clarity and peace about their beliefs. There's too much that doesn't quite add up, especially if they read the Bible at all. Opportunists like Pippinger gain their followings from among those who take the false prophet the most seriously. Deception leaves people vulnerable and more or less defenseless. Colleen |

Oh my goodness, let's talk: my grandma is super into this guy and dragged my dad into it and many members of my dad's side of the family. She goes and watches him preach when he's near her town and she will not hear that you believe something differently, let me tell you. When my dad is at work he watches videos of this guy and some other guys named Jamal Sankey and Dario Taylor and he comes home talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world and like everyone in the house needs to hear it. Now, I understand it's important to him, but I've told him and my grandma on more than one occasion that I don't believe what those men preach and pretty much indicated that I don't want to hear any more but all that gets me is an earful every time. This man's preaching boils my blood. It has directly affected my family. It leads my father away from knowing Jesus for real and instead into all of this weird prophetic number-crunching as if it were a substitute for knowing Jesus. SDAism already does that, but it's like this stuff makes it worse. In short, I'm familiar with him. I am not familiar with the details of his beliefs, nor do I ever want to be. |

Rain, all of my siblings are still in the Adventist church, in the last few months, Pippinger has infiltrated the church, and now family members have split and left the church. I love my family very much, and it is hard to watch (even from a distance) the mind control, and Satan's control over the one's I love. You are so right when you say that all this number-crunching, word for word dissecting, is not important. Interesting sermon today from Malachi that jumped out at me. Malachi 2:8 |
