I copied this from a post on Facebook and I think it is something that is worth consideration for all of us. "A young couple moved into a new neighborhood. The next morning while they were eating breakfast, the young woman watched her neighbor hanging wash outside. “That laundry is not very clean,” she said. ”She doesn’t know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap.” Her husband looked on, but remained silent. ... Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry, the young woman would make the same comments. About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband, “Look, she has learned how to wash correctly.I wonder who taught her this.” The husband said, “I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows.” And so it is with life. What we see when watching others may depend on the purity of the window through which we look." |

Similar to verses in Matthew about removing mote from brothers eye. Remove what is blocking ones own vision first! |

Too often it actually dirty laundry that we see. Not trying to throw a damper on your story, because sometimes it really is the dirty windows we are looking through. Here is a real life situation: We have been having a hard time getting dependable employees. The one we hired before the last one said she was born again Christian and she wanted to follow the Lord, she ended up stealing drugs and wouldn’t follow company policy plus didn’t apply herself to the job. Had to fire her. The second one we hired also played the born again Christian angle, we later found out she was stealing, lying, wouldn’t follow company policy and would not apply herself to the job. Both of these women jump in and out of bed with men like it was nothing, and that is none of my business, but that drama pulls their mind away from concentrating on their job. Same thing, had to let her go last Friday. That makes three women and one man I have had to let go in two years. I hate firing people, Now I’m not perfect by a long shot, but I have job to do and if I didn’t do it I would be where they are, struggling to survive. I counseled with them time and again and I let this go on a lot longer than most people would. But at the same time do I dare pronounce they are not a Christian? I think not, nor am I to harbor ill will toward any of them after the fact in spite of the distress they have caused. The fact is, some people are so busy dirtying their laundry that it interferes with their living and they produce more dirty laundry than we can clean up. I just wish people would quit throwing dirty laundry in my hamper, I got enough of my own, thank you. River |

Me too River! On that thought I think I'll go and do a basket of laundry . I hope I said that right coz in Australia we say, "I'm going to do a load of 'washing'now" because 'Laundry' is a room. See? I suppose you call the laundry a wash room? Okay..going now |

Kelleigh, I didn't realize you were an "Aussie". My son had a girlfriend from Melbourne for a over a year. He has gone down under and visted your beautiful country on a couple of occasions. Once in Melbourne and then also in Carians. Have a good day "mate". :-) |

Hey Starlabs, I live close to Melbourne in a rural gourmet food region. Perfect place for a Former by the way - all the cheese and wine! Hope to travel to the beautiful US of A one day! |
