Yes he belongs to the church we went to for several years, he is very dedicated to helping people and he loves the Lord. They retired him from the police force about a month ago because he fell twice while chasing bad guys, I think he fell without falling or stumbling over anything and his fellow officers had to report it, they knew something was up with his well being, then he had the seizure and is in ICU. I haven't heard today how he is. Grace, I saw your prayer request and will pray tonight. | ||

A friend of mine is getting married Jan 14. Her mother has had cancer for the past 7 years. The Mom died one day ago from the cancer. Please pray for my friend, her fiance, her sister & brother and her grandmother. Diana L | ||

Thank-you all for praying for my Mom. She received the blood transfusion, but there were some complications, for which they are monitoring her now. We still don't know what the underlying cause is, but for now, she is feeling better. Diana, I will pray for your friend. | ||

Praying for your mom, MKfound, and your friend, River, and your friend, too, Diane. I need to ask (well, my SDA mom asked me to have my friends pray!) for prayer for a mess my folks have gotten themselves into. They have been trying to sell their home and found out too late that this realtor is a very shady character who preys on elderly people (my folks are almost 90). There are going to be legal troubles and I just ask that God will take control of this mess. Thanks very much! | ||

I'm almost ashamed to ask, because all these other prayer requests are so much greater than mine, but for the last few days - maybe a week or so - my leg and hip has been hurting from time to time. Last night I woke up with my hip hurting really bad and now I can't stand up for more than a couple minutes or so before the pain gets really agonizing. I have no idea what's wrong with it. I didn't fall or wrench it or anything. Probably it's just some mysterious thing that'll clear up on it's own - but for now it's a real trial, so I'd appreciate your prayers. I know what excruciating hip pain is like since I had bursitis in my hip several years ago (about 19 years ago). It hurt to sleep on it or walk on it, in fact the only thing that was tolerable was to stand up perfectly straight and still with the weight off that hip. Before I realized that, I once tried to "walk it off" when I woke up with the excruciating pain and I then passed out from the increased pain. At the time there was nothing I could take for it because I was pregnant. It's bothered me much less as time went on, and anti-inflammatories helped that alot once I could do that. I'm praying for your hip - nothing is too small to ask of God or to ask others to pray with you. Praying for the other prayer requests as well. | ||

I'm asking for prayer well in advance though God would say (nope, right on time) most likely. My Mum just informed me that she will be going on a trip to Haiti in May with Medical Teams International which is a Christian Organization. And to quote: "It is a Christian organization so it will be interesting. They are familiar with Adventists so I am sure it will go well." I ask you to pray that it is much more than interesting but LIFE CHANGING. My Mum has grown so much spiritually and I pray that this will be the place God finally brings her to the end of herself and to all of Him. Thanks in advance for all the prayers! Ross |
