Need a little boost with 1 Corinthians 9:21(NASB) 21 to those who are without law, as without law, though not being without the law of God but under the law of Christ, so that I might win those who are without law. So what is the law of Christ? I'm not finding definite answers in scripure for this. Paul says in Romans 2 that it is the doers of the law that will be justified and I interpret this to mean the law of Christ not the old mosaic law. Any information would be helpful! |

~Tfelmon~ This is my understanding of the 'Law of Christ'~ "Master, which is the great commandment of the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. The second is like unto it; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." On these two commandments hang all all the law and the prophets." Matthew 22: 36-40 ~mj~ |

I like what Paul says in Romans. "For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death." (Romans 8:2 ESV) |

Tfelmon, I've done an analysis of that passage and included a helpful graphic here: http://bereanmind.blogspot.com/2010/09/covenants-part-xiv-law-of-christ.html |

It is clear from the passage that Law of Christ cannot be the same as Old Covenant Law, or else the passage makes no sense. In context, he is comparing Jews (who have the Torah) to Gentiles (who do not have the Torah). |
