Here are a couple of really wonderful music videos that help heal spiritual shame and anxiety This one is called "Better Than a Halleluiah," by Amy Grant (Yes, I know what's she's done in life, but the legalist/ judgmental will miss the message here): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rm5kx3xqmg0 This one is by J.J. Heller and it's called "Who Will Love Me For Me? Some really good spiritual medicine here for those of us who became so subject to the toxicity within Adventism.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PgGUKWiw7Wk |

"The first one made me cry. The second one made me smile." You are welcome, Skeeter. Both valid emotions while we are yet this side of glory. Both songs, with their lyrics are so emotionally & spiritually honest, too. I think that is why these songs trigger emotions. Our spirit recognizes the truthfulness in these songs. Some Christians may not want to listen to anything Amy Grant sings now. I don;t know all the details, but she suffered through a divorce and many of these type Christians have not forgiven her. |

I don't know anything about her personal life. But I do know that we have all suffered things in our lives and we all need prayer and forgiveness including her. I dont think we have the right to not forgive others. |

~Goose~ I related so much with "Better than a Hallelujah" I went to Youtube & found her singing but with a background of black&white photos & a 'lyrics' overlay~ I have sent it to many of my e-mail pals as 'My Thanksgiving Song' for this year~ Once again, thank-you for sharing~ A pebble cast out~causes many 'ripples'! ~mj~ |
