I had a couple of my friends share this video on Facebook. I find it extremely sad that of all "messages to get out to the public", this is what they choose. Where's the Gospel? Where's the joy?

What a hopeless message... So Adventist. So sad.

Very sad and so adventist.
No hope, no gospel, no joy. So glad Jesus took me out.

Unbelievable. I was actually horrified...that flash mob is actually telling the truth. Imagine "Jesus coming—I'm not ready" being the message you choose to give to an unnumbered public!

As we watched them chanting Richard spoke out loud what I was thinking: they are articulating what is actually true for them. Jesus IS coming, and they are not ready.

A person who knows Jesus would never say something like that. A person who knows Jesus, knows he or she is ready to meet Him. They have unconsciously but intuitively chosen a slogan that tells their own truth.

It's horrifying; they're publicly indicting themselves—and they don't even know it.

Colleen,
Ironically, the flashmob was done on April 12 at the Universal Citywalk in Orlando. On that same day, at CA's Universal Citywalk in Los Angeles, Chris Tomlin was giving a concert that was full of worship and praise and thankfulness for the God who saves us.

I'm so thankful that God grabbed me, and pulled me to "the other side". It's much more fun on this end of things!

Just awful! They were publicly proclaiming their hopeless message.

Wow! That is just sadder than sad...I just don't know what to say about that. Another youtube clip to share through my blogs I suppose.

Sheesh!

You are ready the moment you are born again...of course how many Adventists are truly born again?

Grace! Amazing to read the date of that flashmob--what a contrast! Wow.

I borrowed it an posted it on my FB page with a comment. This is what I said. Am I right?

Hector A Hernandez They are chanting, "Jesus is coming, I am not ready." I guess they are taking that from Ellen White's Manuscripts Release Vol 7, Page 389, "We have little enough of Christ's character. We need it all through our ranks, We must reveal that love which dwelt in Jesus. Then we shall keep the commandment [that we love one another], which not one in a hundred of those who claim to believe the truth for this time are keeping. . . . {7MR 389.3}

If MRS. White is right, then the flashmob is right, they are not ready, but I would rather believe what the Bible say in 2 Cor 5:21 "For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." We are made the righteousness of god in Him. Can we be made be more righteous than that?

So if you ask me, Jesus is coming, are you ready? I'll have to answer, YES (and yes, I'm screaming), not because anything Ive done, but because God has made me the righteousness of God in Him. I'll never be more righteous than I'm now."

Look up! Look up! Jesus is coming...and I'm not ready??

Catchy presentation, however I think sack cloth and ashes would have been more appropriate to the message.

What I can't figure out is how does presenting a message of NO PRESENT HOPE stimulate so much energy and enthusiasm?

Well, it IS "present truth". (Truth is, they are not ready at the present time.)
All who believe are always ready because the Lamb will always be worthy.

Ok. I watched the video. It's so Old Testament.

Here's something better:

I have made many bonehead moves in my life but somebody- or should I say 400 somebodies did not think this one through.

Here's what I mean. Would it make sense for somebody in living in Tornado Alley to stand on the corner and say "Tornado's are coming and I'm not ready--are you?" I'd say "buddy go get ready and then tell somebody"

Can a person be life-preserver for somebody else if they have a hole in the boat and a gigantic stone pulling the boat down?
