So, now I have this fancy schmancy new phone that I can use Kindle on. I have not read any of the former adventist books. And I was wondering if anyone can recommend one that I can download to Kindle? I'm looking for books like, Sabbath in Christ or It's Ok Not to be a Seventh Day Adventist.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I loved Cultic Doctrine by Dale Ratzlaff. Not sure it can be downloaded, but it's great. Very comprehensive.

I would recommend Discovering the New Covenant by Greg Taylor. It is an easy but very valuable read. Also not sure if it is available for download.

You got a phone that reads kindle? Honey, if things get any more complicated, would you just do me a favor and shoot me with yer old 44?

Teresa Beam wrote "Its ok not to be Adventist", you can find her book on Amazon, maybe even a used one on there. If you would like to read dale's book, "Truth Led me Out" I will be glad to loan it to you, and I'll pay the shipping to you. You pay the shipping back, it should only be about less than five bucks and it's a good book. I also have Carolyn's book "Overflows" which I haven't read yet, I always like to hear it from the wifes side of the story. Once I read it I will be glad to share it with you.

P.S. Teresa is a real winner, but I like to give her a hard time. :-)

A little off subject but "Goodbye is Not Forever" by Amy George is a wonderful story of God's protection and leading, even when they didn't know God! from People to People radio --I guess its Realanswers.com ·or net

Benevento,
Thank you for posting the book by Amy George. My husband's family experienced the horrors of this same tragedy. His aunt & uncle were exiled to Siberia where his uncle died. Their son was 3 weeks old & so not named on the deportation list & was given to his aunt & grandparents. They escaped to Germany to a refuge camp where my husband was born. I will read this book with great interest.

BTW it is realanswers.net for those who are looking.

I found it on Amazon.com/books but did not look to see if it is on Kindle. It's not a former SDA book either that I know of.

I downloaded the sample and read it. It looks worthwhile. I'm just not sure I want to pay $9.99 for the book. I guess I'm feeling rather cheap right after Christmas.

Is there anything in the book that hasn't been covered thoroughly on this forum and all the other free former SDA websites?

HW and Leigh and others,

Having been heavily involved in the book and understanding the 'spirit' of the book, I think I can share some advice about whether to buy and read the book or not. The absolute best advice I can give you is this:

Pray about it and ask God whether you should or not. And then leave it with Him. If it is something that He wants you to read, He will let you know. If it isn't, then don't worry about it. :-)

Bless you in Jesus!
Ramone
