On a holiday many years ago my family and I made a stop in a Lutheran church. High up on the wall a text from John 19 was written. I was an sda at that time and din dot fully understand the meaning of it, but I remember sitting in that church and reading those words gave me a special feeling of peace and comfort. I have often thought back on that moment. Last sunday I realised that my new church has the very same words on the wall! " It is finished " John 19:30 Which words in the Bible are special to you? |

"He who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life" (Jn. 5:24) Colleen |

And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life. 1 John 5:11-13 |

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9) |

He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, [so] great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, [so] far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pitieth [his] children, [so] the LORD pitieth them that fear him. Psalm 103:10-13 |

"I give them eternal life, and they will never perish....No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father's hand." John 10:28-29 Hec |

Wow! These verses grip my soul and cause me to fall at His feet once more in humble gratitude for His great salvation! One of my favorites is Romans 8:32. He that spared not his own son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? |

But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart; but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. (2Co 3:15-18 NASB) |

"In Him you trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom also having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purshased possession , to the praise of His glory." Ephesians 1:13 |
