Mark Martin's devotional book "Grace For Today" had these words (in part) for today:

He is with us in every trial and difficulty; He's there to carry every burden and to support us....There is not one day you will live that the Lord is not with you, whether you are consciously aware of it or not....Sometimes we feel like we just can't bear our circumstances any longer. We think that if one more thing happens to us we will be destroyed. However, God can use these things to press us in closer to Him if we will not resist His work in our lives. My prayer for you is that our strong Savior, Jesus, lifts the burden that you've been carrying. It's too much for you!



Thank you, Mark, for reminding us not to be so stubborn! We often insist on trying to lug our burdens around on our own shoulders.

Lord, help us to encourage each other to trust God with our deepest pain.

Lord, help us not to forget to pray for each other and our friends and families.
