Hey, did anyone notice that the White Estate has taken over the domain name for ellenwhite.org. That makes me so sad. I know the content is still found on www.ellenwhiteexposed.com, www.nonegw.com and www.nonsda.com, but it still makes me sad to see the domain name used by Adventists. I thought the agreement was that people would be directed to either site depending on their wishes. Was that a time limited agreement? Anyone know what happened? | ||

According to the following WHOIS archive, in 2007 Calvary Community Church owned ellenwhite.org with an expiration date of August 12, 2013: http://www.who.is/domain_archive-org/ellenwhite.org/ And now the White Estate owns it! I don't know what happened. This is horrible. You would think they could have at least kept ownership of the domain and done nothing with it at all. But perhaps Calvary, or whoever owned it last, did not feel they had the financial resources to go to court over it. I certainly don't think a court would decide that the White Estate owns all rights to the name "Ellen White." Especially considering that their registered trademark is "Ellen G. WHOIS is the standard system for looking up info on domains (now available through numerous websites). They are sure getting really paranoid. What a waste of the peoples money. I wonder are they are going to buy up all domains that disagree with them? Isn't that called a monoply and is illegal? | ||
